SnoozePulse is a local sleep monitor. Most issues come down to microphone permission, how a session is started, or what stays on the phone.

Why does SnoozePulse need the microphone?

The app listens for snoring during a session you start. It uses that audio on the device to detect events and to save short snippets. It does not upload the recording.

Does recording continue when the phone is locked?

Yes, after you start a sleep session. On iPhone this uses background audio. On Android it uses a foreground service and a persistent notification. Recording stops when you slide to end the session.

Does any audio leave my phone?

No. Detection, scores, history, and snippets stay on the device. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

Delete sessions in the app, or uninstall SnoozePulse. Uninstalling removes the local database and stored snippets.

The app is not detecting snoring

Place the phone on a nightstand with the microphone unobstructed, keep microphone permission enabled, and start a session from Home. Very quiet snoring or a noisy room can reduce detections. This is a wellness tool, not a clinical monitor.

Battery use overnight

Overnight microphone use consumes battery. Charge the phone before bed when you can, and keep it plugged in if you expect a long session. Low Power Mode may simplify the on-screen waveform; it does not turn off capture.

Is this a medical device?

No. SnoozePulse does not diagnose sleep apnea or any other condition. Talk to a clinician about health concerns.
